1. 1618 Asian Fusion - Flambeverest Cheesecake and Ube Pannacotta

If you're looking for an Instagram-worthy dessert in Austin, TX, look no further than 1618. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites, and for good reason. One of the standout dishes is their flaming cheesecake - a decadent dessert that the server lights on fire with alcohol and cinnamon for an extra spark. It's the perfect choice for a special occasion, and make sure to have your camera ready to capture the moment! A recent update in 2023, the Ube Pannacotta at 1618 is so good. It's perfectly ube flavored and so jiggly!

2. Diner Bar Austin - Chess Pie

If you're a fan of chess pie, you won't want to miss this one! In my opinion, it's the best I've ever had. The caramelized honey custard filling is simply divine, with just the right amount of salt to balance out the sweetness. The flaky crust and the addition of sauternes and Château Laribotte make for an unforgettable dessert experience.

3.Comadre Panaderia- Pan Dulce

A spot focused on serving artisan and delicious Pan Dulce, you won't find a spot like Comadre anywhere else in town. The food here is truly phenomenal and they do preorders on their website. They are currently adjusting their hours and you can find more on her instagram. We preordered and loved the croissants, cake, conchas, and empanadas.

4. Canje ATX - Tres Leches

If you're a fan of tres leches, you absolutely must try this one - it's the best I've ever had! The roasted chocolate on top is reminiscent of snow and adds a delicious, rich flavor to the cake. The cake itself is soft and fluffy, and simply melts in your mouth. I was blown away when I first tried it and let out an audible gasp! This particular tres leches uses a combination of coconut, roasted white chocolate, and tangerine guava for a truly unique and delightful taste.

5 . Dee Dee ATX - Mango Sticky Rice

If you're a fan of mango sticky rice, you won't want to miss this one - it's the best I've ever had! Do note, though, that this dish is seasonal. Dee Dee is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in Austin, TX. They prepare every dish to perfection, using only the finest ingredients. If you're looking for a memorable Thai dining experience, Dee Dee is the place to be!

6. Intero Restaurant - Brown Butter Cake

Intero Italian Restaurant is an underrated gem in Austin, TX, and the brown butter cake is a must-try! This delectable dessert is packed with flavor and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. The owner of the restaurant also makes the most mouthwatering chocolate truffles that you won't want to miss.

7. Merry Monarch Creamery - Icecream

This place is the ultimate ice cream destination in Austin, TX. Their flavors are made with top-notch ingredients and the owner is extremely dedicated to his craft. I highly recommend trying the Dial C with cookie dough, Oreo miso, and Boo Berry flavors — they're my personal favorites. What's great is that the menu is constantly rotating, so there are always new and exciting flavors to try. Plus, you can take home pints to enjoy later. In my opinion, this ice cream rivals some of the best spots in Seattle and beyond. Check out their website for more information!

8. Luties Garden Restaurant - Kouignn Amann Icecream

Without a doubt, one of my top picks for indulgent desserts in Austin, TX. The contrast of the creamy creme caramel sauce spooned over the crisp, flaky kouignn amann ice cream is simply heavenly. If you're looking for a must-try dessert during your visit, this is it.

9. OMG Squee - Mochi Donuts

OMG Squee's Mochi Donuts have gained widespread fame for being gluten-free and even featured on Queer Eye. They're definitely worth trying, offering a deliciously unique sweet treat. Just be prepared for a potentially long wait, especially on weekends - I recommend visiting on weekdays if possible. These donuts have a delightfully chewy texture, and if you don't want to wait in line, you can also order online.

10. Thorough Bread ATX - Nutella Stuffed Cookies

Thoroughbread's stuffed cookies are an absolute must-try! The Nutella banana bread cookies and peanut butter jelly cookies are particularly delicious. In addition to their signature cookies, they also offer sourdough and breakfast kolaches. If you have specific preferences, they can even create custom cookies - I personally love a peanut butter cookie stuffed with Nutella since I'm allergic to bananas.

11. Luv Fats Icecream - Vegan Icecream

This is hands down one of the best ice cream shops in town, and the fact that it's 100% vegan and dairy-free makes it even better! They offer both scoops and pints, and it's worth noting that this is a wonderful Black-owned business to support. The ice cream here is made with coconut and avocado, giving it an incredibly creamy texture that's absolutely delicious. Check out their menu for all their flavors!

12. Bonjour Brigadeiro - Brigadeiros

Possibly my favorite chocolate dessert in Austin is actually a home baker! She sells Brigadeiro desserts through her instagram or you can order from her website! She is also now offering pick up via Parker and Scott. One of my favorite giftshops and home goods shops in Austin. She does seasonal treats for valentines and different holidays. She does take a periodic break during the summer times.

13. Julie Myrtille Bakery - Gallete Des Rois

Julie Myrtille's Galette des Rois is a seasonal delight that you won't want to miss. Stuffed with frangipane in homemade flaky inverted puff pastry and made with Californian almonds, it's a true French culinary masterpiece. As an award-winning chef, Julie Myrtille's creations are not to be missed. You can easily place orders for her pastries on her website, and she also sells at various farmers markets around town. Additionally, you can visit her brick and mortar shop inside Springdale General, where she offers other delicious treats like her Feuillete.

14. Blueberry Muffin at Bottega

The new Bottega opened serving Casero Cheeseboards, Ice cream from Merry Monarch and Coffee. But did you know they have the tastiest blueberry and white chocolate chip muffin I've ever had? It's the muffin of dreams, soft fluffy and jammed packed with juicy blueberries.

15. Soft Serve at Asahi Imports

The soft serve at Asahi Imports is the best in town imo. They rotate the flavors seasonally but they're usually Japanese inspired flavors like peach, black sesame, and matcha or more.

16. Lumi Crepes - Crepes

You absolutely have to try the Nutella crepes from this food truck - they're absolutely delicious! You can find the truck located in The Domain. Just be aware that the Belgian chocolate used in the crepes can be quite decadent, so make sure to have plenty of water on hand!

17. Baklava House - Baklava

If you're a fan of baklava, you won't want to miss this spot that sells it by the pound! As you walk in, the owner even hands you full-sized samples to try. In my opinion, they serve the best baklava I've ever had. Make sure to try the Nutella stuffed ones or the cheese stuffed ones - they're especially delicious!

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the best cinnamon rolls in Austin, TX! Teal House originally started as a food truck but has since opened a brick-and-mortar location, and they're not to be missed if you're a fan of this classic pastry.

19. Tinys Milk and Cookies - Chocolate Chip cookies

This spot is another must-visit if you're a cookie lover - they sell them by the dozen and even serve them warm, which is always a plus in my book! Additionally, their brioche buns are worth a try, and they also offer scoops of ice cream to enjoy alongside your treats.

20. Sandy's - Frozen Custard

Sandy's is a true Austin staple, having been open since 1946. While they serve a variety of delicious foods like hamburgers, shakes, and corn dogs, you absolutely can't miss out on their soft serve - it's a must-try!

If you're looking for delicious ice cream in Austin, you won't want to miss this spot located at Meanwhile Brewing - it's one of my personal favorites! In addition to pints of ice cream, they also offer cookies and seasonal desserts. Don't forget to follow them on Instagram to stay up-to-date on their latest offerings.

For the perfect end to your meal, be sure to try the soft serve at Birdies - it's simply delicious! Sometimes they even pair it with a drizzle of high-quality olive oil or honey for an extra-special treat. And if you're a fan of chocolate chip cookies, you won't want to miss theirs either!

If you're a fan of cheesecake, you won't want to miss Olga's - they're simply the best in Austin! You can find her delicious slices for sale on Instagram, and she also bakes other treats like panettone. Lately, she's been focusing on selling burnt Basque cheesecake, and she's even been raising money for Ukraine through her sales. Don't miss out and check out her Instagram!

These cookies are perfect for people who love chewy cookies! This home baker sells her cookies through pick up at Parker Scott. The asian inspired flavors are delicious. You can order through her website here, or through instagram. She also sells egg tarts, cakes, and rice crispies.

25. Quacks Bakery - Pie and Cupcakes

If you're looking for a great local bakery in Austin, look no further than this one - it's my favorite! They've been open for ages and always use the highest-quality ingredients in their baked goods. If you're a pie lover like me, you won't want to miss their chocolate cream pie or their Italian cream cake. And if cupcakes are your thing, they've got you covered there too - they're absolutely delicious!

26. Bom Bake Shop

This homebaker specializes in making gluten free donuts! She offers pick up around Austin and preorders are on her website. It's hard to find a 100% gluten free donut that also has the perfect chewy and fluffy texture but she achieves it. You can preorder here. The flavors change seasonally.

27. Tiny Pies - Pies

Tiny Pies is a must-visit in Austin due to their delicious and adorable hand pies. The crust is perfectly flaky and the fillings are bursting with flavor. Not only do they offer sweet pies like their famous Texas Two Step (pecan pie with a brownie on top), but they also have savory hand pies with fillings like chicken pot pie and breakfast taco. 28. Churroco - Churros

Churroco has been open for years inside of Austin. They experienced a recent ownership change with the owners of Gabriela's taking over. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed but i like the campfire churros! here is the menu.

29. Mandolas - Zuccoto Cake

At Mandolas, the Zuccotto Cake is one of my all-time favorite desserts. This decadent cake features layers of pistachio cream and Nutella filling, making each bite an absolute delight. If you're a fan of Italian desserts, this cake is a must-try.

30. Hay Elotes - Rainbow Hill

The Rainbow Hill is a must-try dessert in Austin, especially during the summer. This colorful treat features mango sorbet, topped with chamoy, tajin, and wrapped in a rainbow candy stripe, finished off with fresh strawberries. Don't forget to pair it with a cup of elote for the ultimate experience.

31. Teddy V Cookies

Teddy V has been my go-to spot for cookies for the longest time! She serves monster-sized cookies inspired by Levain cookies. The inside is pretty dense and they're served at room temperature. You can purchase her cookies at the Texas Farmer Markets, Central Market frozen section, and other locations.

32. Heavens Bistro Bakery - Croissants

This spot has some of the best baked goods in Austin, TX. The croissants in particular are the best I've had in town. Truly a gem and if you get there early you can get their popular chocolate or Almond croissants.

33.Cafe De Margo- Croffles

Cafe De Margo sells Korean croffles in ATX, The whipped cream is so good. The croffles are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

34.Gelato Paradiso - Gelato

In a Town devoid of Authentic Gelato, I finally found a spot worthy of being called some of the best Gelato I've ever had. I've been around to top Gelato spots in Boston and Vancouver and this is the closest. The pistachio is soft and creamy and not too sweet. I like how it's served no too icy like many spots around Austin! They also can be found at Baldinucci Pizza.

The below are some spots I wanted to include that are right outside of Austin but still delicious!

35. Round Rock Donuts - Donuts

Round Rock Donuts has the best donuts in the world, in my opinion. With locations in Cedar Park and Round Rock, it's worth the drive to get your hands on their signature yellow glaze and fluffy, sweet dough. I used to make the trip once a week just to indulge in their warm, fluffy donuts. If you're a fan of fluffy, warm donuts, you won't be disappointed with Round Rock Donuts.

36 . Whipped Bakery - Cupcakes and Macarons

Whipped is hands down the best Asian bakery in the greater Austin area. Located in Leander, their cakes and pastries are characterized by their lightness and delicate sweetness, which earns them the Asian thumbs up. Their macarons, filled with whipped cream, are divine, and their cupcakes are equally delightful. I highly recommend trying their desserts, which are not overly sweet. They also do custom cake orders for special occasions.

37. Little Mama's - Halo Halo

Little Mama's is a Filipino restaurant that is highly recommended by many of my Filipino friends. If you're looking for a great Halo Halo in the Austin area, this is the place to go. The dessert is delicious and I always get one to go!

38.Dahlia Cafe- Apple Acian Bar

One of my all-time favorite desserts at Dahlia Cafe is the Hillbilly Bar with warm cinnamon apples, ice cream, savory bacon slivers, and salted caramel. While everything at the cafe tastes delicious, this dessert is a must-try and the perfect way to end a meal.

39. Haleakala Shave Ice at Ululanis

We are so fortunate to have a Ululanis in Round Rock! Ululani's is originally from Maui and they serve Shave Ice. I recommend getting the Haleakala with macadamia nut icecream and fresh mochi.
